KOAT is the powder coating operation of the ALUKÖNIGSTAHL Group. The plant in Budapest applies powder coatings to aluminium profiles and components for customers across Central and Eastern Europe.
The name is new, the plant is not. KOAT continues the established Budapest coating business that previously traded as Polilakk, on the same site, with the same production and the same team. What has changed is the backing: the industrial standards, the financial stability and the international reach of a group that has supplied building envelope systems since 1864.
For fabricators, that combination matters in a very ordinary way. The surface determines how a façade, a window or a door looks for the whole of its service life, and a coating that fails, discolours or arrives late is a problem no one else can resolve for you. Because the coating capacity sits inside the group, one industrial partner stands behind both the systems and the finish.
